This week will be an abbreviated write-up for a couple reasons. First, I was unable to attend and have had to rely on film which makes it difficult to get a feel for the game. And second, it has been a rough weekend for me on the sports front...Northwest Freshman and Varsity, Texas A&M, the Rangers, the Cowboys. I just don't have it in me.
However, even though the freshmen didn't play their best by any means, there were some highlights (and yes, I will be posting a video). The team had their best performance of the season throwing the football, completing 61% for 126 yards. And the defensive secondary did some solid tackling to keep the score from being even more lopsided.
Dusty Cloud ran for his first touchdown of the season and Chase Morrison added yet another touchdown catch. Duke Kicinski added two sacks on defense. The leading tacklers were Samuel Jennings with 9, Cameron Watkins with 5, and Parker Kneis and Duke Kicinski each with 4.
I'm afraid the Dragon mystique may have gotten to us this week, but something tells me we will bounce back big against Keller. Go Texans!
